Conference Planning
The logos and schedules below represent 11-12 months each of planning. I was involved in each of the below in two capacities, first as Technology Director (2015 and 2016) and then as Director (2017-21). Below these images you will find a description of my personal role in each.
Marketing: (2017-21)
- Logo Creation and approval
- Constant Contact list management and marketing emails
- Design and final approval of all marketing materials
Schedule: (2017-21)
- Creation of schedule in coordination with Virginia Beach Convention Center for all concurrent sessions
- Creation of continuing education hour approval lists in coordination with national procurement entities (UPPCC in particular)
Speakers: (2017-21)
- Management of internal speakers for approximately 1/3 of all event sessions to include management of deliverables and guidance on adherence to the annual conference theme
- Scouting and final point of contact for volunteer speakers from other state agencies for approximately 1/3 of all event sessions to include management of deliverables and session topic guidance
- Scouting, financial management, and point of contact for hired speakers from all over the world on procurement and professional development topics for approximately 1/3 of all event sessions to include management of deliverables and session topic guidance

- Maintained relationships with the following entities in order to create lasting partnerships and launch a successful event:
- Virginia Beach Convention Center
- National procurement orgs: UPPCC, NASPO, NIGP
- Agencies: VDOT, VRS, DHRM, DSBSD, Fleet, Surplus, VDC, VDOC, etc…

- Creation of all technology schedules to include presentations, hardware, software, projectors, internet and wifi access
- Procurement and management of Conference App (company: EventPilot)
- Procurement and management of Learning Management System (company: Absorb) for housing video of all sessions (2019-21)
